Registered training organisations (RTOs), Vocational Education and Training (VET) stakeholders and government agencies are invited to explore new ways to build a sustainable training sector that meets the demands of Queensland’s agricultural workforce.
Attendees of the forum will:
- Build connections with industry and RTOs, and explore how relationships, projects and connections have progressed
- Learn about the Industry Skills Advisory role provided by QFF and how it can help you in providing industry relevant training
- Explore how the Rural Jobs and Skills Alliance (RJSA) has facilitated the integration of industry and training organisations
- Discuss the role of the VET sector in providing school students with a pathway to agriculture
- Learn about the National Skills Reform and discuss implications for agriculture training
- Learn about what the Department of Employment Small Business and Training (DESBT) is support training
- Explore what you can do differently to ensure a skilled agricultural workforce for regional Australia
- Discuss quality training with best practice examples
- Discuss issues and solutions to deliver effective training for the industry
